Mark Jermstad - Vice Chairman

  • Business Networking Breakfast
    Chairman: Amanda Krcha
    Co-Chair: Pat McCray

    Early-morning networking allows individuals to make contacts before work. A sponsor is highlighted and briefly presents their company. After breakfast and sponsor presentation, participants meet with new and existing Chamber members.
     
  • Golf Tournament
    Chairman: Kenny McCarty
    Co-Chair: Chris Cummings
    Our 2nd annual golf tournament is a prime opportunity to get involved.  The committee will plan, organize and coordinate sponsorships and the events of the day.  The tournament is a unique golfing experience for Chamber members. Members will have the opportunity to advertise and showcase their business at the event.

    This series of 9 classes culminates in final group action reports and a graduation ceremony. It maintains a strong alumni network and prepares future Temple leaders for community-oriented, decision-making positions.
     
  • Temple Downtown Development Alliance
    Chairman: Larry Howell
    Co-Chair: Tim Wood
    This alliance promotes the revitalization, re-development and preservation of downtown Temple through its four main initiatives: parking, historic preservation, business and public outreach.

     

  • Bloomin' Temple Festival
    Chairmen: Kenny Martin and Bill Jones

    Organized out of the Chamber, and comprised of dedicated volunteers, this committee brings in live music; a carnival; food, arts & crafts, and business booths; races; bike rides; contests and more during this annual, three-day community celebration April 9-11, 2010.

  • Community Engagement Initiative Task Force
    Chairman: Eyal Kaczur

    To identify new people who are attending events and provide them a guide or host to get them started in the Chamber environment.  The front table at Business Networking Breakfast & Business After Hours would identify visitors and try to pair them with Chamber staff, board members or task force members.  These hosts would introduce them to other Chamber members, explain about the event and assist them in their involvement at the Chamber.

     

  • Women in Business

    Co-Chair: Lauren Ballard
    This group provides education, networking, scholarships, and public awareness that empower women to assume leadership positions and achieve personal and professional growth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dan Jones - Vice Chairman

  • Business After Hours
    Chairman: Haley Browder
    Co-Chair:  Luke Nunnally
    As one of the Chamber's most popular events, this series of 11 monthly mixers provides Chamber members the opportunity to network after work.  Sponsors are given the opportunity to highlight their businesses during the event. New Chamber members are also recognized at this event.
     
  • Communication
    Chairman: Nancy Glover
    This committee writes and produces the Focus on Business, a monthly publication distributed in the local newspaper. It covers Chamber events, recognizes member accomplishments, and advertises community events and initiatives.
     
  • Red Carpet Ambassadors
    Chairman: Elizabeth Erickson
    Co-Chair: Ashley Bormann
    This group serves as the official representatives of the Chamber in welcoming new members, conducting ribbon cuttings, and assisting with other member services and recruitment.
     
  • Social Media Marketing
    Chairman: Seleese Thompson
    This group serves as the official representatives of the Chamber in welcoming new members, conducting ribbon cuttings, and assisting with other member services and recruitment.
     

 

Barbara Bozon - Vice Chairman

  • Legislative Affairs
    Chairman:
    Michael Pilgrim
    Community leaders protect and advocate the interests of Temple and the business community by hosting candidate forums, visiting legislative entities both at home, in Austin and in Washington, and monitoring local, state and federal governmental activities including board appointments. This committee also coordinates six Advocacy Luncheons (State of the City, State of the County, State of the State, State of Temple ISD, State of the College and State of the Congressional District) throughout the year to keep the local community informed about ongoing activities.
     
  • Military Affairs
    Chairman: Jim Granfor
    Co-Chair: Gary Janacek
    As a means of building relationships with neighboring Fort Hood, this committee attends various ceremonies and events, organizes and coordinates the Adopt-A-Unit program, and honors the local soldiers of our adopted unit, the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) through various events including the Military Appreciation Luncheon.

  • Workforce Development

    This committee works in various ways to address the education and training needs of the community. The focus of this committee is placed on the infrastructure and facilitation of workforce development through educational council. We are involved in the various school districts through job training, leadership development and job shadowing.
