Early-morning networking allows individuals to make contacts before
work. A sponsor is highlighted and briefly presents their company.
After breakfast and sponsor presentation, participants meet new and
existing Chamber members

Small Business Roundtable

Small business owners are exposed to big business resources, such as
marketing strategies, insurance needs, image branding and technology
at these lunchtime networking events

Business Showcase

Chamber members have the opportunity to market and sell their
business to a wide variety of companies and individuals. With over 70
businesses showcased last year, and visitors from all over Central
Texas, this event offers vast exposure for member businesses.

Originally the Chamber's Beautification Committee, this organization
is now governed by its own board of directors. Through education and
community outreach, it provides programs and initiatives that
encourage recycling, landscape improvement, building maintenance and
community service opportunities.

Leadership Temple

This series of 9 classes culminates in final group action reports
and a graduation ceremony. It maintains a strong alumni network and
prepares future Temple leaders for community-oriented, decision-making
positions.

Temple Downtown Development Alliance

This alliance promotes the revitalization,
re-development and preservation of downtown Temple through its four
main initiatives: parking, historic preservation, business and public
outreach.

Bloomin' Temple Festival

Jones
Organized our of the Chamber, and comprised of dedicated volunteers,
this committee brings in live music; a carnival; food, arts & crafts,
and business booths; races; bike rides; contests and more during this
annual, three-day, community celebration.

This group provides education, networking,
scholarships, and public awareness that empower women to assume
leadership positions and achieve personal and professional growth.

Awards Banquet

During this annual event, the accomplishments and efforts of
Chamber volunteers are recognized, and the vision of Chamber
leadership for the year to come is unveiled. Awards are also
presented for the Red Carpet Ambassador of the Year, Women in
Leadership Award for Excellence, and Small Business
Person of the Year.

Business After Hours

As one of the Chamber's most popular events, this series of 11
monthly mixers provides Chamber members with an outstanding networking
opportunity. Business After Hours sponsors are also given an
opportunity to highlight their businesses during the event.

Comprised of community leaders, this committee writes and produces
the Focus on Business, a monthly publication distributed in the
local newspaper. It covers Chamber events, recognizes member
accomplishments, and advertises community events and initiatives.

Red Carpet Ambassadors

This group serves as the official representatives of the Chamber in
welcoming new members, conducting ribbon cuttings, and assisting with
other member services and recruitment

Community leaders protect and advocate the interests of Temple
and the business community by hosting candidate forums, visiting
legislative entities both at home and in Washington, and monitoring
local, state and federal governmental activities including board
appointments.

Military Affairs

As a means of building relationships with neighboring Fort Hood,
this committee attends various ceremonies and events, hosts the Annual
Military Appreciation Luncheon, organizes and coordinates the
Adopt-A-Unit program, and recognizes local employers who hire military
personnel through the Employer of the Year Award program.

Workforce Development

committee works in various ways to address the education and training needs of the
community. The focus of this committee is placed on the infrastructure
and facilitation of workforce development through educational council.
