Luis Hernandez - Vice Chairman
  • Business Networking Committee / Mark Jermstad  and Ben Ray, Co-Chairmen
    A monthly event providing networking opportunities for new, current, and prospective members.  Each Business Networking Breakfast sponsor is highlighted during the event.
  • Business Showcase /  Chris Cummings, Jared Bryan and Patti Kleypas, Co-Chairmen
    This annual event provides Chamber members a networking opportunity that allows them to market and sell their product or service to potential buyers.
  • Small Business Roundtable /  Sonny Jaramillo and David Fitch, Co-Chairmen
    A focus group that recognizes small business owners through the local Small Business Person of the Year Award and submits awardees to the SBDC State Competition.  Also offers a variety of workshops designed to provide timely information, business tips and helpful advice to small business owners.

Government Affairs
Marty Janczak- Vice Chairman

  • Legislative Affairs / Marty Janczak, Chairman
    This group of community leaders is active in protecting and advocating the interests of Temple and the business community by hosting candidate forums for upcoming elections, visiting key legislative entities both at home and in Washington, and studying and monitoring local, state and federal governmental activities including board appointments.
  • Military Affairs / Jim Granfor and Nancy Glover Co-Chairmen
    As a means of building relationships with neighboring Fort Hood, this committee attends various ceremonies and events, hosts the Annual Military Appreciation Luncheon, organizes and coordinates the Adopt-A-Unit program, and recognizes local employers who hire military personnel through the Employer of the Year Award program.

Member Services
Bourdon Wooten - Vice Chairman

  • Awards Banquet / Patti Kleypas, Chairman
    During this annual event, the accomplishments and efforts of Chamber volunteers are recognized, and the vision of Chamber leadership for the year to come is unveiled.  Awards are also presented for the Red Carpet Ambassador of the Year and Small Business Person of the Year.
  • Business After Hours /Keith Odom and  Ali Thompson, Co-Chairmen
    As one of the Chamber's most popular events, this series of 11 monthly mixers provides Chamber members with an outstanding networking opportunity.  Business After Hours sponsors are also given an opportunity to highlight their businesses during the event.
  • Communications / Bonnie Hunt and Carol Mouche, Chairman
    With the help of key community  leaders, this committee produces the monthly Focus on Business publication which recognizes members and volunteers, gives complete coverage of Chamber events, and reports on current community events.  
  • Red Carpet Ambassadors / Ashley Bland and Dorothy Mathieson, Co-Chairmen
    The distinguished Red Carpet Ambassadors serve as the official representatives of the Chamber in welcoming new members, conducting ribbon cuttings, and assisting with new member services and recruitment.

    This committee works to address the education and training needs of the community. The focus of this committee is placed on the infrastructure and facilitation of workforce development through educational council.

  • Hispanic Leadership Council /Jodi Lane Vazquez and Rudy Garza Co-Chairman
    The “HLC” works to promote leadership, economic development and educational opportunities within the entire community for the betterment of Central Texas
  • Keep Temple Beautiful / Thomas Baird, Chairman and Zoe Rascoe, Vice-Chairman
    Keep Temple Beautiful is a board-run organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life by building a greater sense of pride through improvements to our community. 
  • Leadership Temple / Rodney Bell, President and Ashley Bland, Curriculum Chairman
    The Leadership Temple Program is used to seek out the finest potential leaders from all aspects of the Temple community and prepare them to participate in community-oriented decision-making positions.
  • Temple Downtown Development Alliance / Karen Gonzales and and Gregory Free, Co-Chairman

           The Temple Downtown Development Alliance

           works to improve the face of the downtown area

           by increasing community awareness of the

           Downtown Commercial Historic District while

           addressing various other issues affecting the area.

  • Women in Leadership /Linda Mohlstrom  and Cindy Zavodny, Co-Chairman
    The Women in Leadership Committee provides resources and services - through education, networking, scholarships and public awareness - to empower women to assume leadership positions and achieve personal and professional growth.
