Event Description: Family Caregiver - Care for the Person with Dementia The Schmieding Family Caregiver Workshop on Care for the Person with Dementia is a 12-hour class with multimedia presentations combined with some hands-on experiences. If offers information on: Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease Maintenance of Respect, Dignity, and Quality of Life Communication Behavioral Issues Activities Nutritional and Fluid Balance Caregiver Stress and Burnout End of Life Care Bathing Tuition is $35 which allows two persons to attend, and includes: 1 caregiver manual, practice in a simulation lab, resource hand-outs, and access to library materials.
